iPhoto ’09 – Finding untagged faces

I’ve struggled with finding untagged faces in OSX’s iPhoto ’09.  I’d gotten in the habit of flipping through photos and removing “faces” that had been recognized in hubcaps of cars, or people that I needed to tag but it was time consuming and tedious.  I just found a solution that I’ve been trying and it works great!

I created a smart album (click file, then smart album in iPhoto) that shows Face is unnamed and this gives me an album of all the photos that need attention.  As I tag or delete non-face detections, the album shrinks to exclude those photos.
